Pharmig Microbiology Skills Training
The Pharma team recently attended the Pharmig Microbiology Skills Training course in the National STEM learning centre- University of York.
The two-day course was laboratory-based and had a strong focus on the practical techniques as well as providing a platform for group exercises and discussions on best practices.
Course contents included culture maintenance, microbial identification, environmental monitoring, aseptic technique, and data integrity for the Pharmaceutical microbiology labs. The attendees left with a better understanding of the contamination risks in Pharmaceutical processes, how to evaluate the effectiveness of current control measures and how to maintain compliance with cGMP and data integrity expectations for the laboratory.
