The BSC Class III cabinet, is totally enclosed, is made for working with BSL-4 pathogens and gives the most protection. The enclosure is gas-tight, with attached rubber gloves. All materials go in and out through a dunk tank or double-door autoclave. Dangerous materials can’t be touched directly because gloves are attached to the front (Class III cabinets are sometimes called glove boxes). These cabinets are usually made to fit together in a line, and the lab equipment inside is usually also made to fit.
