MSC are delighted to announce the appointment of Cian Murphy as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Cian has been an employee of MSC since 2007, working initially as a sales representative in the Life Science department, before focusing on Pharmaceutical, Food and Industry accounts. This customer base was then spun out as a separate sales division with Cian as manager. The Pharmaceutical, Food and Industry Sales Team has grown to a team of 3. Cian will be working closely with MSC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Eimear Scully on the day-to-day running of MSC as well as the long-term strategy and direction of the company. After reflecting on an incredibly busy 18 month period the board decided that a further layer of management was necessary to ensure that our excellent customer service and quality of our offering is maintained. Highlights of the past 18 months includes:
- Supply of swabs to HSE, private hospitals and private testing laboratories for Covid-19 testing by our Diagnostics Sales Team
- Support of community Covid-19 testing, national data exchange and screening results through our WinPath laboratory information management system by our Health Informatics Division
- Fit out of PCR test solutions at a number of hospitals and private laboratories for Covid-19 testing by our Life Science and Molecular Diagnostics Sales Team
- Supply of Biological Safety Cabinets (BSC) and Ultra-low freezers for bulk storage, at pharmaceutical and CDMO customer sites manufacturing and testing Covid-19 vaccines in UK and Ireland by our Pharmaceutical, Food and Industry Sales Team
